FarmOne & FarmPro agricultural officer app

FarmOne & FarmPro

Agricultural officers faced numerous challenges monitoring and managing daily farmer activities, traditional methods were cumbersome, time-consuming, and prone to errors. FarmPro replaces that patchwork of paper and Excel with a single mobile app built around registration, contract farming, surveys, and daily field activities.

Kao note:

Some of initial research materials are presented in Thai to align with our target users' language proficiency. However, I'm more than willing to provide further explanations and insights in English during our interviews.

Understanding Users

Meeting the officers behind the paperwork

We began with field interviews and shadowing sessions to understand how farm officers move between paperwork, site visits, and coordination tasks. The goal was to identify the moments where trust breaks and manual work becomes overwhelming.

Critical Pain Points

6 moments that slowed the team down

  • Repetitive Data Entry
  • Invoice & CV Delays
  • Manual Work Overload
  • Distrust in System Data
  • Inadequate Training
  • No CV Notifications
Define & Ideate

Aligning with the business and the users

We prioritized four launch features that would reduce manual work, improve trust, and make the core workflow feel guided and reliable. Every idea was validated against the pain points and the operational constraints of the field team.

Four Features for Launch

From wireframe to a working flow

We moved from low-fidelity sketches into a structured prototype that could be tested with real users. The focus was on reducing friction, improving visibility, and making every step feel intentional.

Usability Testing

Usability Testing

We tested the new workflow with 40 users across multiple sessions. The goal was to validate whether the redesigned experience felt clearer, faster, and more trustworthy than the existing process.

Pre-Launch Training

Training Super Users before launch

Before rollout, we prepared a guided onboarding program for super users. The training covered the new workflow, key features, and the most common edge cases officers would encounter in the field.

C-SAT Score

Satisfaction feedback from 58 users

After launch, we collected feedback from 58 users and used it to refine the experience further. The strongest signal was that the new workflow felt more structured, easier to learn, and more reliable than the previous process.
